Welcome
Welcome to the website for the South Australian School Canteen Network (SASCN).
SASCN is an independent, voluntary body and is pivotal in supporting canteens both now and in the future to ensure that popular, affortable, healthy food and drink choices are available and continue to be available to all South Australian children in schools and preschools.
Our aim is to be the peak body for school canteens in South Australia. We plan to do this by working towards three goals -
1) Represent the needs and interests of school canteens and canteen managers
2) Provide support to enable school canteen managers to deliver best practice
3) Strive to be independent, viable and sustainable

With just under a fortnight left until the 2012 School Canteen Expo opens, plans are in full swing. The day's program starts off with presentations from keynote speakers: Mike Tate, Principal from Kilkeny Priamry School, followed by Simon Bryant, well known chef and television presenter. These two guest speakers will be followed by two concurrent workshops focusing on Having fun with a GREEN Menu and Tips on operating a profitable GREENER Menu.
The workshops will provide an opportunity for questions and discussion. A light luncheon will follow with the opening of the Trade Exhibition at 12.30pm. Prizes, including the major door prize will be drawn at 3pm with the Expo closing at 4pm.
All products displayed at the Trade Exhibit have been checked to ensure that they meet the South Australian government's Right Bite Policy - this will be a great opportunity to meet and chat with suppliers who appreciate the importance of healthy eating in South Australian schools.
With close to 200 delegates registered, make sure you don't miss out. To register for the Expo, download the Program & Registration Form opposite or contact CN Project People (see contact information opposite).
See you there!
